TUI shared its Q3 results: Reporting a cash flow before financing of around 320 million euros – positive again for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

▸ Just over a year ago, the news came to light that Mercadona had implemented a facial recognition system in some cities in Spain (Palma among them). This has led to the company being fined 2.5 million euros by the Data Protection Agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos).

We mentioned Civitfun‘s partnership with Booking.com a couple of weeks ago and now more details have aroused. The companies have teamed up to allow guests to check in via the Booking.com app and website. Currently, more than 200,000 rooms are using its tool in more than 20 countries around the world. In addition, the startup claims that in 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Civitfun increased its turnover by 180%.

▸ Travel connections marketplace TravelgateX has just launched TGX4Startup a programme that aims to help startups around the world compete with the big players in the industry by accelerating the onboarding of products for their customers in a simple and scalable way.
